Our Beliefs

Mission and Values:

Our mission at Hamilton Mill Presbyterian Church’s is to reconnect people to Christ, the church community, and God’s world.

We do this by living out our values of loving, forgiving, serving, praying, encouraging, and supporting. This is who we are and this is what we do.

The HMPC family sees our church as a place of reconnection. If you’ve felt defeated on your faith journey, if you’ve become busy, if you have discovered questions that you didn’t know where there, this is a place where you can come as you are. We strive to be authentic and build effortless connections with all who come through our doors.

What is a Presbyterian?

Hamilton Mill Presbyterian Church belongs to the denomination of The Presbyterian Church (USA) or PC(USA) and is a member of the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta.

The PC(USA) is part of the Reformed tradition which finds its roots in the work of 16th century theologian John Calvin, one of the integral leaders of the Protestant Reformation.

Presbyterians believe in the sovereignty of God over the Church and that God calls all people to serve.

The General Assembly “affirms its conviction that neither the Church as the body of Christ, nor Christians as individuals, can be neutral or indifferent toward evil in the world.”
